When you use logical consequences

This is what I woke up to! After several attempts of asking and at one point begging the boys to clean their mess and them refusing, I helped them clean it. Each boy got to pick 10 toys that were special or brought them joy. Everything else had to go. We got rid of 6 bags of toys. The house is finally coming together! I am getting so excited!

The point of all this is to teach them respect for a clean, maintained home. I also want them to learn to take care of their belongings. We are going to use the money from the garage sale we will have to go to the beach in the fall.
